Caolion BB Cream for Sensitive Skin Review.
Hi everyone. Here you go! Another review for a product I got from WISHTREND.
WISHTREND is a very reliable online shop wherein it brings Korean goodies, mostly cosmetics and skin care for men and women, within everybody’s reach. Meaning, they ship worldwide in a very affordable shipping rate. Another good thing is that their website is in English (yeah!!) so for people overseas who wants to buy stuff from Korea, WISHTREND brings the stuff you want closer to you.
SHIPPING: Based on my experience, parcels from Korea (EMS) takes a week or two to be received here in the Philippines. Though my parcel from Wishtrend just took 4 days. >_< hmm, good thing!

And because I’m currently in my journey searching for the best make up for sensitive skin, I got myself CAOLION Sensitive BB Tinted Moisturizer. This got me interested because this BB cream was released in Sephora in Korea. Must be a good product. =)
PACKAGING:

Oh yes. the name itself is kind of confusing. All I know is that this is a BB cream though I’m not sure why is it called a tinted moisturizer at the same time. Most of us know, especially make up junkies like me, know that they are two different things. (@_@)

But I have to admit, the packaging is very cute! When I opened it, this BB cream also includes sponge wedges. They are heart-shaped! Aw so cute, and these sponge wedges are amazingly soft and they do not smell like rubber like the usual, cheap sponge wedges do. <3

So the BB cream comes in the usual squeeze tube. It doesn’t have a pump but I do think this is pretty hygienic as well, don’t you think? Oh and look, it has a safety seal so rest assured that the item is brand new, never opened, never tested. =)

So the cute peculiar looking box has the details and perhaps, instructions inside. The box fold idea is pretty awesome i think. =)
Though when I was reading some of the info inside, I have noticed the picture inside it.

She looks like Lee Min Jung! No..not just a look-alike, I think that’s her in there..hehehehe! The Korean actress whose face I always dreamed of having. I dunno, but I’m 100% sure that’s her.haha~ >_<
And btw, all the details you’ll get inside are all in KOREAN. Uh-oh..But anyway, I’ll go translate some later once I got to my review on the product itself. though they are too many, I’ll just go mention some. >_< *kyaang*
The packaging is really nice and it’s easy to dispense the product. Hassle-free usage though my only concern is the all Korean instruction inside. So for the packaging I will go give it a 4.5/5.
PRODUCT SWATCHES/DETAILS:
Okay, so since I have very oily and sensitive skin, I considered getting CAOLION’s Sensitive BB Tinted Moisturizer because it is:
- NON ANTISEPTIC
- NO ALCOHOL
- NO FRAGRANCE
- NO MINERAL OIL
- NON COMEDOGENIC
It also has other claims such as its Whitening content certified by KFDA, EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), Natural Squalene Ingredient and has Citrus Fruit Unshiu Oil. It also has few ingredients which is very good when it comes to choosing make up for sensitive skin since the lesser the ingredients, the lesser possibilities of harming your skin. MORE OF THE GUIDELINES FOR SENSITIVE SKIN CAN BE FOUND HERE.

The shade is quite bright and it’s whiter than my skin tone. I don’t know what exact skin tone do I have in MAC’s skin color chart because I have never used any MAC foundations (and I can’t too even if I wanted to) but I am #140 Soft Beige in MUFE’s HD Foundations or Buff in Revlon Colorstay. So most probably, since the shade of this BB cream is too light for me, then I believe this is like somewhere in the Ivory shades.

Whoaaa~ too light on my skin! >_< It has a very thick, creamy texture so I find it hard to blend hence the sponge wedges included. Though inside the box, in the Q&A section, there’s a question there that regards to the BB cream being too bright on the skin, but then it says there that this BB cream blends to your skin tone so there’s no need to worry. Blending it with a sponge is the most helpful I think. I tried blending it with my Japonesque Foundation Brush but it didn’t blend too well with it, however, this foundation brush works amazingly with my other foundations and BB creams.

Has a dewy finish too! >_<
COVERAGE:

So there, when applied using a sponge wedge, It’ll go blend to your skin tone perfectly, the coverage though will turn out to be very sheer. So if you have a lot of blemishes to cover, this won’t do the job but if you only have redness, then this is great for making your skin tone appear equal and healthy. This is a very light BB cream, no sticky feeling which I really love.

As you can see, the coverage is too light since you can still see some of the marks my allergy left me. Coverage with be 2.5/5 for me. It can make you look healthy but it does not cover zits and major blemishes.
SCENT:
WISHTREND gave me the opportunity to be a part of their Blind test a couple of months ago and this BB Cream from CAOLION turned out to be my least favorite because of its scent. It smells like medicine, the same with the skin care stuff my Dermatologist gave me. Judging it by the scent, it looks like it’s really something to help people with sensitive skin since it appears to be Fragrance free. I really don’t like the scent though so I did something to get rid of it.
To get rid of the scent, I’ll just set my make up with a light powder and finish it off with a mist. I use Lioele’s Hydro Peel Mist. >_<
HOW MY SKIN REACTED TO IT:
I like wearing this BB cream if I feel like having a “No makeup” makeup look. Something that looks natural and feels light. The best thing is I have used this BB cream for almost a month already and it didn’t give me any acne breakouts. Zero breakouts, really! Oh it is truly for people with sensitive skin, yes!

All in all I think this BB cream is good for people who have really sensitive skin and the ones who does not wear too much make up for this gives a “naturally healthy skin” look. It has a dewy finish that makes your skin glow without using anything else such as highlighters or pearl bases.
But for a make up girl like me (hahaha!), I sometimes use this as a primer to make my skin look healthy and to protect my skin against other harmful chemicals from my other cosmetics. At the end of the day, this tends to look a little oily, but nowadays, since I’m suffering from extreme dryness (part of my derma treatment), I think this one supplies enough moisture on me.
If your skin is not as sensitive, then I think you can find more BB creams better than this but if you have very sensitive skin and you have to be careful with the cosmetics you choose, give this a go!
Oh! and WISHTREND have released their WISHBOX for March. A lot of niceties inside from very popular Korean brands! The set is all in a very affordable price!

>_<
