Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation SPF10 Review.

This review was supposed to be published yesterday. Cause of delay is because I went to visit my grandma in Bulacan. Been there almost the entire day.soooo~

Enyiweyz, here’s my review on my recent purchase, the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. A foundation I was forced to buy because my derma told me to. =) You guys know about the allergy right? The one I have mentioned gazillions of times? Missed it? Oh well see the post HERE.

PACKAGING:

The foundation comes in a frosted bottle, not sure if I should call it frosted but yeah, it looks like it so..yep! The bottle is not as fragile as you think since it is thick and HEAVYYYY~Oh yeah, heavy! It’s not something I’ll put in my pouch and bring everyday. The bottle is a little heavier than the usual ones, but that made it luxuriously looking. >_<

Estee Lauder is an American brand since the company was founded in New York City, but most of their products, including this foundation is made in Belgium.

When you open the box, you’ll see lots of EL logos right in there, usually, high-end brands do this. This is why I have mentioned before that The Skin Shop’s packaging looked high end. =) kkkk~

And this is what I hate about bottles. They..do..not..have..PUMPS!! This one doesn’t have one, just like Revlon’s Colorstay. It’s hard to control the amount of the product you wanna get and it tends to make some of the foundation spill..T__T I don’t want any kind of spilling for this kind of expensive item!! NO NO!

You can go notice, the cap had caught some foundation mess inside it, it’s hard to get them outta there.

Packaging would be a 3.5/5

SHADE/SWATCHES:

Got mine in Tawny. Estee Lauder’s beauty consultant have checked my shade on their shade chart and she said this will be the best one for me. And oh yes, she’s soooo right! <3 I love you Ivy. kkkk~ >_<

She gave me a makeover too for me to see how the actual product looks like unto my face. I usually don’t get my make up done by anyone because I hate it! hahaha~But I really wanna see how will it look like on me, and so I gave it a shot. Good results. Thank you. (^o^)

Let’s talk about its coverage. This won’t be named “Double Wear” for nothing, right? You see, i have this tiny flat mole on my left wrist, now let’s coverrrrr it!

Oooooh~So that’s why it’s called double wear.kkkk~ >_< Oh and take note, the coverage is buildable, this one I have showed is the sheerest you can get. ^o^ A little goes a long way too! =) No need to get too much foundation to cover your entire face.

I have chosen this foundation because my allergy have left red marks and blemishes, particularly on my cheeks so I really need something to tone them down.

WHEN WORN:

The left picture shows a shameless photo of me without any foundation, powder whatsoever! The red markssssssssssssss~gee I want them out there! T_T While the picture on the right shows my face wearing Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. Since I have mentioned that the coverage is quite buildable, I have applied two layers only on the parts with visible redness and other imperfections.

The coverage might be heavy BUT this foundation feels really light on the skin. It’s very comfy and it does not make my skin feel sticky. this one has a matte finish AND AND AND!! This one never transfers on my shirt, hanky (when i pat this unto my face everytime I sweat) or even paper (I read books and I sometimes touch the book with my face accidentally~kkkkkk)..

This also controls oil perfectly, your make up will stay in place the whole day! I mean it! the whoooooole day! Inside an airconditioned room or under the sun! >_< Worth every penny. =)

PRODUCT/COVERAGE would be a 5/5.

PRICE and WHERE TO BUY:

I’m usually at Shang, so this one I got from Rustan’s Shangri-la Plaza. Though you can get products from Estee Lauder from any Rustan’s Department Store.

You can get this one for 1,900php or around $45 when converted for a 30ml bottle. (>_<)??? me no more money! kk~

Bought the foundation together with a very lovely cheek blush and for that, I get Estee Lauder’s Signature Services. =) All thanks to Estee lady, Ivy. <3

*Will try to make more reviews often! So sorry I’m not that consistent and I haven’t reviewed a lot of products I recently got!! T___T

Cosmetics Used:

Face: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Blush in Nature Bio.
